木偶戏是我国一种古老的民间艺术,早在汉代就有了专供陪葬用的“偶人”。明清两代随着民间地方木偶戏的繁盛发展,木偶戏出现了杖头木偶戏、提线木偶戏和布袋木偶戏等种类。现位于甘肃省张掖市甘州区党寨镇上寨村的邵家木偶戏班是河西地区尚存的一支杖头木偶戏班,邵家班木偶戏因为受地方戏影响,在音乐与声腔上主要以秦腔为基础,有时也唱眉户、陇剧和影子腔。
