1985年2月末至3月初,为执行中国科学院(CAS)和美国国家科学院(NAS)之间的交流协议,来自中国科学院各个研究所的学者一行8人,赴美国旧金山湾区和洛杉矶交流访问。此行最主要的活动是3月1日和2日在加州的帕洛阿托(Palo Alto),和来自大学、公司、政府机构的8位美方学者联合举行的计算机中文信息处理讨论会(Joint Workshop on Text Processing Chinese bycomputer: Character, Speech and Language),在讨论会上,我得以和傅京孙先生相识。
From late February to early March 1985, 8 scholars from various institutes of Chinese Academy of Sciences visited the CASS and the NAS to exchange visits with San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles. The most important event of this trip was held on March 1 and 2 in Palo Alto, Calif., With eight American academics from universities, corporations, and government agencies. The Joint Chinese Information Processing Symposium (Joint Workshop on Text Processing Chinese by computer: Character, Speech and Language). During the seminar, I met Mr. Fu Jing Sun.
