延安马列学院是中国共产党创办的第一所教授马列主义比较正规的学校,是延安的“最高学府”。自学院创办之日起,张闻天就兼任院长,直到1941年7月改组,前后有3年多的时间。为了办好这所学校,张闻天倾注了大量的心血,辛勤的耕耘结出了丰硕的成果。马列学院培养和教育了一批忠诚而坚强的干部,提高了干部的理论水平,积累了丰富的办学经验,在中共干部教育史上留下了令人难忘的一页。张闻天对马列学院始终充满眷恋之情,1976年6月当他在病重弥留之际曾对外甥马文奇说:
Yan’an Marxism-Leninism-Marxism Institute was founded by the Communist Party of China as the first professor of Marxism-Leninism more formal schools, Yanan is “supreme institution ”. Since the founding of the school day, Zhang Wentian served as Dean until 1941 July reorganization, before and after more than 3 years time. In order to run this school, Zhang Wentian devoted a lot of effort, hard work has yielded fruitful results. The Marxism-Leninism-Women’s College has trained and educated a group of loyal and strong cadres, raised the theoretical level of cadres and accumulated rich experience in running schools, leaving an unforgettable page in the history of the CPC’s cadre education. Zhang Wentian was always full of love for Marxism-Leninism College, and in June 1976, when he was ill, he said to his nephew, Marvin Qi,
