8月19日,美国政府不顾中国纺织服装业的强烈抗议,最终受理了对中国产针织布、胸罩和袍服的设限申请,美国方面提交意见的截止日期为9月17日,并在60天内决定是否对中国提出磋商请求。中美纺织品贸易争端呈现一触即发之势,中国纺织服装出口业在寻找对策应对的同时,不妨借此反思,以寻求更有效途径提高自己的竞争力。
On August 19, despite the strong protests from the Chinese textile and apparel industry, the U.S. government finally accepted the application for restriction on the production of knitted fabrics, bras and gowns in China. The deadline for submitting comments by the United States on September 17 and 60 Days to decide whether to request consultation on China. The dispute over textile trade between China and the United States presents an imminent threat of development. While looking for countermeasures, China’s textile and garment export industry may wish to reflect on this to seek more effective ways to enhance its competitiveness.
