任何被研究的对象都可以被看成为是一个系统。根据系统原理我们认为编辑系统是由若干相互作用、相互依赖的机体,所组成的具有特定功能的有机整体。编辑系统属于出版系统范畴,出版系统又是文教系统的一个子系统,它与工、农、商、政、法律等系统有着密切的关系。因此编辑系统与各行业都有着直接的或间接的关系。特别是在市场经济条件下,科学作为第一生产力的作用显得更为突出,而科技期刊则是这种生产力的特殊载体,它所传播的科学理论和应用技术是以知识形态出现的潜在的社会生产力。要办好科技期刊,首先要明确科技期刊系统自身的要素、结构、功能以及它们相互的关系、作用,使编辑活动遵循和驾驭系统规律。
Any object under study can be considered as a system. According to the system principle, we think that the editing system is composed of a number of interacting, interdependent body, composed of a specific function of the organic whole. Editing system belongs to the category of publishing system. Publishing system is a subsystem of culture and education system. It has a close relationship with the system of industry, agriculture, commerce, politics and law. Therefore, editing systems and industries have a direct or indirect relationship. Especially under the condition of market economy, the role of science as the first productive force becomes more prominent. However, sci-tech periodicals are the special carriers of this kind of productive forces. The scientific theories and applied technologies spread by them are the potential society in the form of knowledge productive forces. To run sci-tech periodicals, we must first make clear the elements, structures and functions of sci-tech periodicals and their mutual relations and functions so that editorial activities can follow and control the laws of the system.
