Any regional economic cooperation will bring economic, political and military benefits to the member states. If the various economies in the region can integrate as soon as possible, they will bring many unexpected benefits and advantages to all member countries. If all non-trade barriers among member states are eliminated, the free flow of goods, capital and personnel can be realized to a greater extent. Such a situation is a significant business opportunity for all member countries. Therefore, it is necessary to study the economic effect of regional economic integration. What really began to systematically study this was Ja Cob Viner, a professor of economics at Princeton University in the United States, who proposed the theory of customs union in his 1950 book, The Issue of Customs Union. The theory proposes several effects of the customs union under economic integration - static effect, dynamic effect and welfare effect. This article will analyze the various economic effects of the regional economic integration in China and ASEAN.
