The authors believe that a timely and proprietary treatment plan should be put forward for all types of TB patients. There is little inconsistency in the treatment of miliary and tuberculous meningitis. Isoniazid is essential for the treatment of these types of tuberculosis. In the absence of comorbid miliary tuberculosis and in cases of meningitis that lack or have significant miliary spread, the question of which formulation should be used with isoniazid is unresolved. In some late-stage cases of meningitis that have a block of the cerebral spinal cord, it is advisable to use streptomycin plus an intraductal injection of tuberculin given by Oxford.
