In order to understand the iron content in the groundwater in the Pearl River Delta and its causes, 352 groundwater samples and 12 surface water samples were collected and analyzed. The results showed that the groundwater iron content in the Pearl River Delta was undetectable ~ 94.8 mg / L with an average content of 1.46 mg / L. The distribution of groundwater iron content in this area is closely related to its degree of industrialization and the conditions of recharge, drainage and drainage in the area where it is located. Especially in the plains, the iron content of groundwater is more closely related to the pollution of some surface rivers. River, groundwater iron content has significantly reduced the trend. The factors that dominate the groundwater iron content in different areas are also different. The redox conditions are one of the main factors affecting the groundwater iron distribution in the Pearl River Delta. However, the acid-alkali conditions and ground-based pollution only affect the groundwater iron content The distribution plays a leading role. In addition, the aquifer medium composition, runoff conditions, overlying soil properties and other factors on the Pearl River Delta groundwater iron content also played a role.
