This article describes the Mine Roof Simulation Test Bench for the US Department of Energy’s Mining Equipment Laboratory. This paper discusses how the test rig can study the working characteristics of hydraulic supports on longwall face under the condition of simulated mine environment and discusses the advanced technical analysis methods such as finite element analysis, strain gauge electrical measurement technology and photoelastic technology. In the design of scaffold Applications. The experimental data and results were provided for two research examples.
