Objective To study the effect of stress on the neuroendocrine status of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and provide theoretical reference for the treatment and maintenance of diabetes mellitus. Methods 78 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus under stress and 73 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus under stress were measured for neuroendocrine hormone levels and analyzed statistically among groups. The levels of blood glucose (PG), plasma insulin (INS), plasma glucagon concentration, plasma cortisol (CPRT) concentration, plasma adrenaline (ACTH) concentration, plasma dopamine (DA) concentration and norepinephrine (NE) concentration. Results In patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, the levels of blood glucose, insulin, plasma dopamine and norepinephrine were both higher than those of the control group, while the levels of plasma adrenaline and cortisol were lower than those of the control group (P <0.05) , The difference was statistically significant. Conclusion The neuroendocrine state of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is further disturbed under stress, which promotes the development of insulin resistance and diabetes.
