中国现代话剧肇始于五四时期,在京津等地形成了很好的话剧发展态势,而对于它的一个组成部分——东北现代话剧而言,似乎是一块空白,没有什么“成绩品”,也不如小说创作对抗战文学和现代中国文学的贡献大,但是,在这片黑土地上同样经历了话剧种子播撒的过程,对中国现代话剧的发展亦同样有所建树。东北现代话剧的发展略晚于京津等地,直到20世纪20年代中期才在《盛京时报》、《泰东日报》、《满洲日报》等刊物上出现较为完整的剧
