在江西省上犹县五指峰乡东隅一座海拔810米的高山顶上,屹立着四个大小不等的岩块。人们相传盘古开天地就有此石,系由神仙放在这里的,取名为盘古石。后来人们就在其中的一大岩块下筑起一幢小屋,改名为盘古仙。笔者在1:5万左安幅矿产普查工作中,每天目睹数十人,上有七、八十岁耄耋老人,下至七、八岁小孩,其中以青年情侣者居多,尤其是初一、十五更是络绎不绝,怀着那好奇心涌向盘古仙观赏及进香拜佛。本人对这一稀少的地质现象进行了实地考察,远看岩块间相互镶嵌着,高高耸立在盘古仙山顶,像人工砌成,傲然挺拔;近看这四个岩块形状不一,大小悬殊,呈北东方向分布,大者长11.6米,高2.1—8.4米,小者长仅0.3米,宽0.1米。其中最大的岩块向北西方向倾斜,似乎摇摇欲坠,会崩塌下来似的。由于大岩块被小岩块支撑着,才幸
