In order to investigate the impact of cadmium pollution on human health, the author investigated the cadmium content and copper content of rice in the surrounding area of the Shengyong Mine in central part of Hyogo Prefecture, Japan from January 1971 to October 1973. According to the level of cadmium contained in rice, it is divided into high pollution area (the content of cadmium in rice is 0.6-1.0ppm, the content of copper is 6ppm), the low pollution area (the content of cadmium in rice is 0.3ppm and the content of copper is 3ppm) Non-contaminated area (the content of cadmium in rice is below 0.1ppm, the content of copper is 2ppm). In these areas 13,052 farmers over the age of 30 who consumed locally grown rice were surveyed. First, the amount of cadmium in rice and the relationship between waste
