There is a saying in China that the saying “people are better than people, worse than the dead” used to be a bit self-deprecating in the past. It seems that it has gradually become an excuse some people find for their laziness. Not to mention this change, but people than people, really “more than the dead”? I think, on the contrary. Comparisons between people are bound to bring about a kind of competition. Just like the monks fighting law in the novel or the academic rank in the reality, they are both a kind of competition and a comparison. The strong are never afraid to compare with others, they even take the initiative to compare with the more powerful. Because, compared to bring the gap, and the gap, it is the motivation to promote progress.
