刘学佛,二十二兵团农十九团二连排长。1951年在剿匪战斗中立过战功。1951年至1954年先后被新疆军区二十二兵团授予甲等、特等劳动模范,荣立一等功、特等功;1953年被授予“全国植棉能手”称号;1955年被兵团授予“特级劳动模范”称号;1960年被兵团树立为“十二面红旗”之一。曾任八一农学院农学系主任。在新疆1500余年的植棉历史画卷中,有历史记载的第一个创造棉花高产奇迹的人应该是刘学佛。在兵团植棉史上,刘学佛是个标志性人物。
