In many parts of the world, cars play an important role in daily life, and without them, society will be paralyzed. So if 20 years later, no individual is willing to own a car, it may be hard to believe. But the prediction is made by a group of transportation experts officially hired by the government and automakers. Experts at the Institute of Human Sciences and High Technology in Loughborough, England, believe that by 2020 all cars will be computerized, which means saving a lot of fuel, few traffic accidents and making full use of the road. In the 21st century, super-smart cars drive themselves and are not owned by individuals. Instead, we have the power to choose cars and change cars as frequently as changing clothes. Dr David Davis, who led the team, said the prediction was based on the growing cost of humankind’s car culture: cars blocked traffic and pollution in the city
