Belladonna (Atropa belladonna L.) is native to south-central Europe. There are a small amount of cultivation in Shandong, Beijing, Zhejiang and other places in China. However, there are still some problems in large-scale development and production. Planted in Zhejiang, Sichuan and other places, due to the warm and humid climate, diseases (such as adenobasis, seedling blight, leaf spot, etc.) are more serious. The Xinjiang region was introduced in 1962 (the seed was donated by the Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences), and 10 square meters were sown in the Yili Liqun field, and 200 grams of seeds were received in the autumn. 1963 spring broadcast 2 acres. After two years of observation, belladonna was found to grow and develop normally in Xinjiang, with annual total annual weight of 0.6% in whole plants and 0.69% in second year (samples were analyzed by Xinjiang Pharmaceutical Factory and Xinjiang Health Inspection Center).
