Step 1 Lead-in
The teacher will show the students some pictures to help them brainstorm some adjectives as many as possible to describe a person.
Step 2 Learn to describe a person
1. word bank
The teacher will welcome the students to enter her word bank and let them
○ read the words.
○ use the words to describe somebody.
2. free talk
Let the students think about when we describe someone,besides appearance and character,what other aspects can we refer to?
The teacher will sum up 6 letters(ABCEEE)to help students remember the detailed information easily.
Students’ activity

The students will output many adjectives to describe a person. And the pictures can help to inspire their imagination.
The students will review some adjectives and learn some new words.
The students will use the words to describe a person.
The students will have group work to talk about any aspect they can think of in describing a person.
The students will know what aspects the 6 letters refer to.

Step 3 Learn to sketch a person
1. appreciation
The teacher will appreciate a vivid description of a person with the students.
The teacher will introduce a new style of description— sketch.
2. mix-match
The teacher will show some descriptions in a mix-match way,and make the students figure out that every person has their own features about ABCEEE. 3.game:sketch and guess
The teacher will guide the students to sketch the features of a person and let them guess who it is.
The students will enjoy a vivid description and find the difference between description and sketch.
The students will further understand that every person has their own features.
To make the students tell the difference between description and sketch easily.
To make it natural for the students to realize every person has their own features.
Step 4 Writing-Salon
The teacher will let students have group work.

exchange their writings and polish them together.

Step 5 Homework
Ask the students to sketch a person around them and polish their writings.

Some students will present their writings and share ideas with the whole class.
To present some examples about sketch,and help the students to write a short passage.
