The aim of this study was to investigate whether mercury released into the amalgam filled in the guinea pig teeth after 17-28 months entered dentin and pulp. A silver-amalgam substrate was evaluated using composite resin-modified glass ions Whether the material can stop mercury penetration. Materials and Methods: After guinea pigs were anesthetized, Class I and Class V holes were made in 49 posterior teeth and canines of 4 guinea pigs using a turbine and a coolant. Thirty-five guinea pigs were filled with amalgam, and 26 of the guinea pigs were cured with light-cured glass ionomer cement and the remaining nine were not padded. The fourth guinea pig was filled with composite resin. After 17 to 28 months, the dolphin was observed
