Objective: To summarize the research status of nectin and cell adhesion and cell migration, and to explore the role of nectin in cell movement, proliferation and metastasis. Methods: Using the keywords of “nectin, cell adhesion, cell migration” and other keywords in Med-line, PubMed and CNKI periodicals, we retrieved 362 English articles from 2000 to 2009. Inclusion criteria: 1) the general characteristics of nectin; 2) nectin-mediated cell adhesion; 3) the relationship between nectin and cell migration and cell polarization; 4) the relationship between nectin and tumorigenesis and development. Based on the inclusion criteria, 23 articles were selected for analysis. Results: nectin is a newly discovered type of adhesion molecule that can mediate the formation of intermediate and tight junctions between epithelial cells and fibroblasts. nectin can make cells lose their original stability, enhance cell proliferation activity and exercise capacity, thereby promoting cell transformation, and promote the occurrence and development of malignant tumors. However, the specific mechanisms by which nectin promotes tumorigenesis and development are not yet clear. Conclusion: nectin can mediate cell-cell connections and promote cell motility, proliferation and transformation, thereby promoting the occurrence of malignant tumors. By expressing nectin, nectin greatly enhances the proliferation, metastasis and invasion of malignant tumor cells, and promotes The development of malignant tumors. nectin may provide a new scientific basis for the diagnosis and treatment of human tumors, but the specific mechanisms and methods need further study.
