计算机辅助教学(CAI)是以先进的计算机为教学媒体,利用教学软件,学员通过与电脑的交互作用进行学习的一种现代化教学手段。与粉笔、黑板等早期的教学媒体不同,它是双向媒体,不仅能够呈现教学信息,还能接受学员输入的信息,以交互的方式进行教学,能较好的实现个别化教学和因材施教,并能对教学过程进行的有效地管理。同时CAI形象、生动,多彩的画面和丰富的音响等多媒体功能轻松吸引学员的注意力,使他们视、听等各种感觉器官并用,提高了学习兴趣,另外它具有信息量大、教学密度高的特点,是松散的课堂班级式的教学不可比拟的,所以说CAI是提高教学效率的最有效的手段。
