国际水文地质学家协会(International Association Hydrogeology——IAH)隶属国际地质科学联合会(International UniteGeological Science——IUGS)的下属组织。其目的促进水文地质学家和所有对水文地质学感兴趣的各个学科专家开展学术交流的机构,为非官方的,并且是不赢利的科学协调机构。它的任务是开展学术交流、组织和协调国际水文地质科学计划及培训计划的执行,推动学科的发展。 1948年在英国伦敦召开的第18届国际地质大会期间,许多国家的水文地质学家建议建立本学科的协调机构。1952年在阿尔及利亚的阿尔及尔召开的第19届国际地质大会期间成立了国际水文地质学家临时组织委员会。1956年在墨西哥召开的第20届国际地质大会期间正式成立了国际水文地质学家协
International Association Hydrogeology Association (IAA) is affiliated with the International UniteGeological Science (IUGS). Its purpose is to promote the exchange of academic information between hydrogeologists and all subject matter experts interested in hydrogeology, an unofficial and not-for-profit scientific coordinating body. Its mission is to carry out academic exchanges, organize and coordinate the implementation of international hydrogeological science programs and training programs, and promote the development of disciplines. During the 18th International Geological Congress held in London in 1948 in 1948, many countries’ hydrogeologists proposed the establishment of a coordinating body for this discipline. In 1952, during the 19th International Geological Conference in Algiers, Algeria, a provisional organization committee for international hydrogeologists was established. The International Association of Hydrogeologists was formally established during the 20th International Geological Conference held in Mexico in 1956
