学术争鸣,是学术的生命。没有学术争鸣则无学术可言;学术争鸣不繁荣,学术也不会自己繁荣起来。 图书情报学要发展,同样离不开学术争鸣。纵观图书情报学发展史,几乎所有重大突破性理论在其形成过程中,都曾有过或明或暗、或长或短的学术争鸣。一个争鸣结束了,新的争鸣又代之而起。所以,从这个意义上说,一部图书情报学发展史,就是一部不同观点、不同见解的争鸣史。
Academic debate is academic life. There is no academic debate without academic debate; academic debate is not prosperous, and academic will not flourish on its own. Library and information science to develop, the same can not be separated from academic contests. Throughout the history of the development of library and information science, almost all of the major breakthrough theories in the process of its formation, have been clear or dark, or long or short academic debate. When a contention is over, new contention will take its place. Therefore, in this sense, the history of the development of library and information science is a history of contention between different points of view and different opinions.
