鹮雀楼是容城一座上了年头的三层亭阁。座落在容河桥东,人来人往,车辆穿梭,一抬头就能看到灰头土脸的它。鹮雀楼飞檐青瓦,始建年代无从考证,原因是屡毁屡修,屡修屡变,又无著名人士为其写传作记。不变的是黑底木匾上的行草书法。一个落第的秀才题的字,颇见功力。容城明代出过一个状元,这秀才励志发奋却几试不中,没好意思在匾额上落下大名。书法很是不错,但人们望一眼阁首的匾额,常要犹疑一阵,然后念出一句“鹳雀楼”。白日依山尽,黄河入海流。那是大诗人王之涣笔下的大作,三岁孩童的诗歌启蒙。于是,蛮多容城人念了个白字,加之当地口音有些卷舌,听上去还真有些鹮、鹳不分。
