To analyze whether all of the fast-track metrics are crucial for early postoperative recovery, researchers used baseline characteristics and rapid-process factors as independent predictors of rapid postoperative recovery in colon cancer resection. Patients undergoing rapid-flow procedures in 400 patients with colon cancer undergoing laparoscopic or open surgery were compared to those undergoing standard perioperative care.
