见到曹花明时,她正忙着给学生讲缝纫课,一点一滴认真细致,边讲课边指导实践,忙得不可开交。曹花明是岷县城郊镇南川村农民。没上过一天小学的曹花明渴望着学文化、学技术。1993年,乡党委、乡妇联在南川村办起了扫盲班,曹花明报名参加了扫盲班。经过几个月的认真学习,她不但能读书看报,还能与外地亲戚通信。 1998年,她被省妇联授予“全省识字女状元”光荣称号。

In 1998, she was awarded the Provincial Women’s Federation “literate female champion province” glorious title.
