Professor Zhu Bangfen was born in Shanghai on January 5, 1948 and graduated from Engineering Physics Department of Tsinghua University in 1970. He obtained a master’s degree from Tsinghua University in 1981 and a researcher at the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from December 1989 to January 2000. From January 2000 to In March 2003, he served as a professor at the Research Center for Advanced Studies of Tsinghua University. He is currently a professor and director of the Department of Physics, Tsinghua University, a visiting professor of the High Research Center, a director of the condensed matter theory and statistics physics committee of the Chinese Society of Physics, a member of the Light Scattering Professional Committee of the Chinese Physics Society, Associate Editor of Chinese Physies Letter, Communication on Theoretical
