A sports star is disappearing. It is appropriate to state in this sentence the semi-decommissioning of Muhammad Rushwan, the only Judo champion in Africa. After attending the World Judo Championships in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, October 10-15, 1989, the Egyptian judo star decided to participate only in the African continent in the future. Muhammad Rushwan height 1.90 meters, weighing 142 kg. In the international judo competition, he has a brilliant record: runner-up at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, runner-up at the 1985 Seoul World Championships, and runner-up at the 1987 Essen (Federal Republic) World Championships. He won the African Judo Championship 10 times, twice at the Mediterranean Games, and won two gold medals at the recent French-speaking country games. Currently, Rushview is the only African to board an international judo podium. However, the 34-year-old Egyptian athlete is already considering the issue of saying goodbye to sports. He won only fifth place in the heavyweight competition at the World Judo Championships in 1989.
