Salivary lysozyme, SIgA, IgA and IgG4 indicators of 54 patients with coronary heart disease (33 cases of angina pectoris and 21 cases of acute myocardial infarction) were measured and compared with 63 normal human saliva samples. Salivary lysozyme was significantly lower in patients with angina pectoris and acute myocardial infarction than those in normal controls (P <0.0001). SIgA, IgA and IgG levels were significantly higher in patients with angina pectoris and acute myocardial infarction than in controls (P <0.0001) The difference was also significant (P <0.01). The preliminary detection of saliva immune indicators, the pathophysiology of coronary heart disease has some clinical significance.
