AGP 8X为何物? AGP 8X是Intel近日针对新一代PC与工作站推出的新标准。这种标准虽然只有32位的总线,但是可将图形显示性能翻倍,时钟速度可以达到533MHz,传输速度为2GB每秒。 Intel CTO指出,为了配合即将推出的Pentium 4处理器,显示接口将全面升级,这样才可以发挥高速CPU与系统总线的最大性能,并且能够更好的符合游戏与网络对3D影像越来越苛刻的要求,因此,AGP 8X应运而生。包括ATI、Matrox和nVidia等国际知名巨头纷纷响应。 AGP 8X规格和前景 Intel发布的AGP 8X架构,提供与AGP 4X一样的32 bit介面,AGP Bus传输速率达到533MHz。频宽高达2.1GB每秒。
