对于1949年为啥没能拿下台湾, 这个问题历史学家早有共识--1949 年10月、11月解放军第三野战军进攻金门、定海的失利,使国民党政权暂时得以控制沿海各岛;8个月后的1950 年6月,美国利用朝鲜战争爆发的时机,派出第七舰队进驻台湾,制造了长期分裂的局面。这是根本原因。其实,1949年毛泽东和中央本有趁蒋介石在台湾立足未稳立即攻取的设想,只不过由于种种难以预料的复杂因素,才没有得以立即实施。
