正象我们党自成立以来就一贯坚持、并在七大以来每部党章的总纲开头就写明的:中国共产党是中国工人阶级的先锋队。一、党是工人阶级的先锋队任何政党都具有阶级性。不同的是,资产阶级政党在对其代表本阶级剥削和压迫工人阶级的利益的实质极力进行掩盖中坚持其阶级性,而我们共产党人则公开申明党的工人阶级先锋队性质。工人阶级是我们党的阶级基础。工人阶级是人类历史上最先进最革命的阶级。它同大工业生产相联系,是先进生产力的代表者和先进生产关系的体现者。在夺取国家政权之前,工人阶级除了双手以外,一无所有,只能靠给资产阶级出卖劳动力维生。
Just as our party has always insisted since its establishment, and at the very beginning of the general outline of every party constitution since the Seventh Congress, the Chinese Communist Party is the vanguard of the Chinese working class. The working class is the foundation of our party’s class. The working class is the most advanced and revolutionary class in human history. It is linked to large-scale industrial production and is the embodiment of the representatives of advanced productive forces and advanced productive relations. Before the seizure of state power, the working class had nothing but two hands and could only survive by selling the labor force to the bourgeoisie.
