2011年版《语文课程标准》指出:“写作教学应贴近学生实际,让学生易于动笔,乐于表达,应引导关注现实,热爱生活,积极向上,表达真情实感。”“写作教学应抓住取材、立意、构思、起草、加工等环节,指导学生在写作实践中学会写作。”由此可见,小学的写作教学不仅是写作知识的传授,更重要的是写作能力的培养。写作能力是指用书面语言较完整地、有条理地反映客观事物,表达主观思想感情的能力。小学生的写作能力主要包括搜集材料能力、确定中心能力、选择组织材料能力和修改作文能力。
