Strategies Unlimited, a market research firm, reports that the worldwide market for laser diode communications will grow substantially by 50% to $ 2.92 billion this year. It is estimated that it will grow by 22% annually in the future and is expected to reach 5.35 billion U.S. dollars in 2004.
