中国是世界冰川大国,大约有6万条不同类型的冰川分布在西部高原和高山上。从北面中俄、中蒙交界的阿尔泰山到南端云南省境内的玉龙雪山;从西端的帕米尔高原到东端的四川省松潘县.冰川分布面积达5.8万平方公里。面积最大的冰川是最新刚刚发现的藏北高原普诺岗日冰原冰川。它由数个相互连接的平坦的冰帽构成,总面积达400多平方公里,表面平坦贯通的区域面积就有150多平方公里。下伸最低的冰川是西藏察隅县木忠乡境内的阿扎冰川。它长20公里,末端海拔仅2450米。最长最大的冰川是天山主峰托木尔峰(海拔7435.29米)西坡的南伊诺切克山谷冰川,总长63.5公里,在中国境内的冰川面积就有392.84平方公里。其它著名的冰川还有,乔戈里峰(8611米)北坡的山谷冰川音苏盖提冰川,总长42公里,面积379.91平方公里,冰川末端海拔4000米。中国第一座冰川森林公园是四川贡嘎山海螺沟冰川森林公园。它跨越于海拔6750米至2940米之间,自高而低由粒雪盆、冰瀑布和冰川舌组成,全长13公里。它的冰川舌长5公里,延伸于原始冷杉林带,形成举世罕见的冰川与森林共生齐辉的自然景观。世界上海拔最高的冰川是坐落于珠穆朗玛蜂上的绒布冰川,长仅22公里,面积仅86.89平方公里,却在世界冰川家族中赫赫有名。它是登山探险者从北坡攀登珠穆朗玛峰的必经之路,在它的怀抱里发育着一座规模宏大、特征典型的冰塔林。
China is a large glacier nation in the world. About 60,000 different types of glaciers are located in the western plateau and the mountains. From north Altai to the border between China and Mongolia, and to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to the south of Yunnan Province, from the Pamirs to the east of Songpan County, Sichuan Province, the glacier covers an area of 58,000 square kilometers. The largest glacier is the newly discovered Puno Gangday glacier glacier in the northern Tibet Plateau. It consists of several interconnected flat ice caps, with a total area of more than 400 square kilometers, the surface of the flat through area has more than 150 square kilometers. The lowest glacier is Azha glacier in Muzhong Township, Zayu County, Tibet. It is 20 kilometers long, the end of elevation is only 2450 meters. The longest and the largest glacier is the South Enoch Valley glacier on the western slope of the Tomsk Peak (7435.29 meters above sea level), with a total length of 63.5 kilometers and a surface area of 392.84 square kilometers of glaciers in China. Other famous glaciers are the glacier sound Suguiti Glacier on the northern slope of the Chogori Peak (8611 meters), covering a total length of 42 kilometers and covering an area of 379.91 square kilometers. At the end of the glacier, the elevation is 4,000 meters. China’s first glacier forest park is Sichuan Gongga Mountain Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park. It spans between 6,750 and 2,940 meters above sea level, and consists of pelts, icefalls and glacial tongues, all of which are 13 kilometers in height. Its glacier tongue 5 km long, extending to the original fir forest belt, forming the world’s rare glacier and forest symbiosis natural landscape. The highest glacier in the world is the flamboyant glacier located on Mount Qomolangma, only 22 kilometers long and covers an area of only 86.89 square kilometers. However, it is famous among the world’s glacial families. It is the only way for mountaineering explorers to climb Everest from the northern slopes, with a large, characteristic ice tower in its arms.
