慈禧太后,又称“西太后”、“那拉太后”。清朝末年,她统治着同治、光绪两个皇帝两个时代的政事。 自从鸦片战争割地赔款以后,英政府仍不甘心,借清政府腐败无能之机,联合美、德、法、俄、日、意、奥帝国主义国家,向我国进攻。光绪二十六年(公元1900年)七月攻陷天津,八月攻克北京。慈禧太后惊惶失措,带领光绪皇帝和亲贵大臣,仓惶向西安逃跑。
