文人拟乐府在汉代已经开始,《古诗十九首》造语、意态本于乐府古辞,乃是拟乐府的产物。拟乐府逐渐出脱乐府叙事以及描写、对话的长篇敷衍,转而主情,出之以象,并以字句锻炼、属对讲求,导致篇幅缩短,谢灵运山水诗属对已造精工,预为永明声律规范。声律规范联对,形成四联之制,卒使五律定篇。五律的形成,乐府五言是为基础,拟乐府是其演变,联对结构与声律规范最为关键。
