2014年7月17日,马来西亚航空公司的MH17航班在靠近俄罗斯的乌克兰边境地区遭导弹击中坠毁,机上280名乘客和15名机组人员不幸遇难。7月23日,台湾复兴航空公司一架ATR-72小型客机(GE-222航班)因迫降失败,坠毁于澎湖马公机场附近,机上58人中,有48人遇难。7月24日,阿尔及利亚航空公司一架MD83客机(AH5017航班)在起飞50分钟之后坠毁于马里东部城市加奥附近,机上119人全部遇难。短短8天时间里,3架客机失事,462人死亡。让这个夏季的7月成为了航空史上最黑暗的一个月。
On July 17, 2014, Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 crashed into missiles by a missile near the border with Russia in Ukraine, killing 280 passengers and 15 crew members on board. On July 23, an ATR-72 small passenger plane (GE-222 flight) of Taiwan’s Renaissance Airlines crashed into the vicinity of Magong Airport in Penghu due to a failed landing and 48 of the 58 people were killed. On July 24, an Algerian Airlines MD83 passenger aircraft (AH5017) crashed into the eastern Mali city of Gaio 50 minutes after its take-off, killing all 119 people on board. In just eight days, three passenger planes crashed and 462 people were killed. Let July of this summer be the darkest month in aviation history.
