在20世纪语文教育史上,夏丏尊、叶绍钧合作编写的《国文百八课》一般被看作是一种进行科学化探索具有里程碑意义的教科书。所谓“体裁独创,编制尽善,适于教学,更适于自修。”张志公先生曾经回忆说,“50年代末,我们曾经对19世纪末叶以下40年间若干种‘国文’教科书进行了一次比较系统的分析研究。当时发现,在多种教科书之中,有几种具有显著的特色,比较突出的一种是《国文百八课》。”~(1)
