吴德峰(1896-1976),湖北保康人。1922年参加革命,1924年加入中国共产党。我党秘密交通工作的创建人,隐蔽战线杰出的领导人之一。1927年,任湖北省军事委员会主席、省工农革命军总司令。1929年后,任中共中央交通局局长、中国工农红军第二方面军保卫局局长。1936年任中共中央对外联络局局长,1940年继任中共中央交通局局长。1945年后任中共晋察冀中央局敌军工作部部长,郑州市委书记。1949年5月后,历任武汉市市长,中南军政委员会政法委员会副主任,国务院第一办公室副主任,最高人民法院常务副院长,中国政治法律学会会长。戚元德(1905-1974),湖北汉口人,1927年参加革命,与吴德峰结婚,1928年入党,曾先后任中央苏区军委机要科长,红六军团保卫局党支部书记,中央党校二部党支部书记,中共阜平县委常委兼组织部长。全国解放后,历任武汉市妇联主任,全国妇联执委,中华全国总工会党组成员兼全总女工部部长。前国家副主席王震曾撰文称“:吴德峰夫妇呕心沥血,英勇卓绝地完成了一个又一个艰难任务,委实可以称为党的无名英雄”。
Wu Defeng (1896-1976), Hubei Baokang. In 1922 to participate in the revolution, in 1924 joined the Chinese Communist Party. One of the founders of our party’s secret traffic work and one of the outstanding leaders in the hidden front. In 1927, he served as Chairman of Hubei Provincial Military Commission, Provincial Revolutionary Army commander. After 1929, served as director of the Transportation Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the Red Army, the Second Army Red Army defender. In 1936 the CPC Central Committee External Relations Bureau Secretary, 1940 successor of the CPC Central Committee Transportation Bureau. After 1945, he was appointed Minister of CPC Central Committee, CPC Central Committee Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, secretary of Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee. After May 1949, he served successively as mayor of Wuhan, deputy director of Politics and Law Committee of the Central Military Commission, deputy director of the first office of the State Council, executive vice president of the Supreme People’s Court and president of the Chinese Political Science and Law Society. Qi Yuande (1905-1974), Hankou, Hubei Province, joined the revolution in 1927, married Wu Defeng, and joined the party in 1928. He served successively as chief of the Central Military Commission for the Central Military Commission, party branch secretary of the Red Army Corps of Defense, party branch of the Central Party School Secretary, Fuping County CPC Committee and Organization Minister. After the liberation of the country, he served successively as director of Women’s Federation of Wuhan City, member of the All-China Women’s Federation, member of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and minister of the General Women’s Department. Wang Zhen, former vice chairman of the state, once wrote: “Wu De-feng made painstaking efforts to accomplish one after another difficult task, which can indeed be called the unnamed hero of the party.”
