王自强同志在「引文未了的标點」(「語文学習」1955年1月号)里說:「引号里的話是完整的,引文末了的標點放在引号里面。」「局部引述……引文末了的句号、逗号都应該放在引号外面……」这里「放在引号里面」「放在引号外面」的說法是不够正確的。毛主席在他的著作里不止一次地引用了「沒有革命的理論,就不会有革命的運動」这一句出自列寧著作里的話(見「列寧文选」,莫斯科版196頁),引用時,句号在引号里面的也有,句号不在引号里面的也有。請看:

Quoted at the end , The comma should be outside the quotation marks ... ”The words“ inside the quotes ”and“ outside the quotes ”are not correct enough. In his writings, Chairman Mao quoted more than once the phrase “there is no revolutionary theory without a revolutionary movement” from the writings of Lenin (see Selected Works of Lenin, p. 196, Moscow) There are also in the quotation marks, the period is not in the quotation marks there.
