山东省图书馆藏有碑刻《抱璧堂碑记》一块,现位于遐园老年人阅览室内,碑文由日伪时期山东省伪省长唐仰杜所撰,是研究日伪时期的一手资料,是日本侵略者推行奴化教育的见证,具有特别的史料价值。引言及碑文释读山东省图书馆所藏《抱璧堂碑记》,碑文是日伪时期山东省伪省长唐仰杜所撰。据说,“抱璧堂”建成时嵌在堂之东墙内,1966年“文化大革命”时,图书馆老职工为保护它用水泥糊上,2006年装修时得以重现,并装玻璃罩保护之。“抱璧堂”是图书馆一次大浩劫之后重新恢复的标志,是山东省图书馆历史上的一件大事。“抱璧堂”也曾是山东省图书馆的重要组成部分。
