美丽的花儿,令人赏心悦目。你是否想过古代的花儿是什么样子呢?科学家运用庞大的植物数据库和模拟技术,描绘出了地球上可能最原始的被子植物花朵图像,让人们有幸一睹古代花儿的风采。被子植物是目前植物界最大和最高级的一类,占地球上所有植物的90%。科学家认为它们的“祖先”都是一种生活在1亿4千万年前的古老植物,但是由于缺乏花朵的化石记录和一些其他原因,还没有完全理解它们的起源和早期演化。
Beautiful flowers, it is pleasing to the eye. Have you ever wondered what the ancient flowers look like? Using vast plant databases and simulation techniques, scientists portray the images of the most primitive angiosperms on Earth, giving people the chance to see ancient flowers. Angiosperms are by far the largest and the most advanced in the plant kingdom, accounting for 90% of all plants on Earth. Scientists consider their ancestors to be ancient plants that lived 140 million years ago, but their origins and early evolution have not been fully understood due to a lack of fossil record of flowers and some other reasons.
