The tandem mass spectrometry was used to qualitatively analyze “green water” produced in the process of diphenylamine production. The main components of “green water” were confirmed to contain aniline and product diphenylamine as raw materials and a structure of C12 H11N3 substance. In addition, there is a small amount of by-product of a series of by-products generated by the substitution of condensed-aromatic hydrocarbons in benzene rings
