由上海外国语学院与中国社会科学院语言研究所联合举办的“国外语言学学术研讨会”于1990年12月19日至22日在上海外语学院召开。本次会议的主题是“语言研究中的形式主义和功能主义”。由于这两种研究方法在理论上和实践中的不同,以及两者之间近年来的持续论战,逐渐形成了两大学术思潮,各自在学术研究中取得了一系列成果。因此,形式主义和功能主义成了当前国内外语言学界所关心的热点问题。会议正式代表共39人,均为来自海内外各高等院校和研究机构的语言学专家,他们提交论文23篇。上海外语学院以及兄弟院校的一些中青年教师、
The “Foreign Linguistics Symposium” jointly organized by the Shanghai International Studies University and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of Linguistics was held at Shanghai International Studies University from December 19 to December 1990. The theme of this conference is “Formalism and Functionalism in Linguistic Studies.” Due to the differences between theory and practice and between the two in recent years, the two research methods have gradually formed two academic trends and each has made a series of achievements in academic research. Therefore, formalism and functionalism have become the hot issues that the linguistics community at home and abroad are currently concerned about.
