在中国制瓷史上,清代康熙年间的瓷器无论从形制、胎骨、胎釉、花色等方面都有了空前的繁荣。而随着康熙年间制瓷业的大发展,工艺技术的不断革新和提高,各种形制的瓷器也随之孕育而生,且瓷器造型准确、规范,成品率较高,这与成型方法日臻完善和技术更趋成熟有密切关系。康熙时期将不同单体和不同部件组合成一个整体的成型工艺推向了高峰,套杯便在这样的一个大环境中诞生。
