位于胶东半岛东部的文登市近几年来,在加快小城镇建设的同时,充分发挥小城镇的载体功能,大力加强精神文明建设,有效地实现了两个文明建设的结合。这个市不仅先后跨入全国综合实力百强县、山东省村镇建设先进市行列,而且自1992年以来,先后荣获了全国卫生城市、全国双拥模范城、全国“两基”教育先进市等14项荣誉称号,并连续两届在山东省精神文明建设工作和先进县(市、区)考核中获得第一名。1998年11月,全国农村精神文明建设工作座谈会在文登召开,文登被中宣部作为重大典型推向全国,1999年,又夺得“全国创建文明村镇工作先进市”桂冠。
In Wendeng City, located in the eastern part of the Jiaodong Peninsula, in recent years, accelerating the construction of small towns and cities has given full play to the carrier’s function of small towns and greatly strengthened the building of spiritual civilization. The city has not only stepped into the top 100 comprehensive counties in Shandong Province and the villages and towns in Shandong Province, but also won the honorary titles of “National Sanitation City, National Double-support Model City” and “National Advanced Education City of Liangji” since 1992 Honorary title, and two consecutive sessions in Shandong Province spiritual civilization construction work and advanced counties (cities, districts) assessment won the first place. In November 1998, a national seminar on the construction of spiritual civilization in rural areas was held in Wendeng. Wendeng was promoted by the Central Propaganda Department as a major model to the whole country. In 1999, it won the title of “Advanced City for Building Civilized Villages and Towns in the Country.”
