Due to poor logistics capacity, Pakistan is not expected to reach its export target this year. The country is not expected to export 150,000 t mango. The problem with mango exports is that there is not enough facilities in Karachi and Lahore Airports for mango storage. Any aircraft delays affect the quality of mango transport. If the plane is delayed for more than 12 hours, the entire shipment may fail. Therefore, exporters should avoid exporting fully grown mangos, which are usually sold at lower prices.
