The authors evaluated the diagnostic value of total plasma PSA, free PSA, and composite PSA for prostate cancer and their specificity for detecting increased prostate cancer. A retrospective and prospective study involving 354 consecutive prostate biopsy non-consecutive cases, of which 122 cases found cancer, accounting for 34%.
