若干年前,曾有人就“京華何處大觀園”撰文求索。我卻始終以為,大觀園純係《紅樓夢》作者曹雪芹之筆下煙雲,是他巧妙安排下的紅樓人物燕息之所,乃紅樓故事的演出塲地。就史實而言,不僅在他生活的雍乾之世並無貴妃省親之本事,即歷朝歷代亦無此類記載見諸史册。可見“省親别墅”純屬小說家之鋪陳,“京華何處大觀園”?祇得求教於烏有先生。即使撇開省親之說,曹雪芹也不致於一定要死死抱住一個現成的花園,去寫他的小說罷。
